Comcast Cable Sucks!

I am sitting here on hold, waiting for a Comcast Service Representative to answer the phone. I am fuming mad, so mad in fact that I feel as though I could spit nails.

Comcast Cable Service SucksI was sitting here enjoying my second Law and Order program of the evening — one I was really looking forward to watching. Especially since I have not been able to time my sleep schedule with their broadcast schedule. It’s frustrating to say the least, so when I finally manage to get an opportunity to watch the show and I start getting a “Poor Signal.” error — in the middle of my show — well, you get the picture. I am not a happy camper.

Their automated answering system is infuriating and they want too much information entered into the form online, so I refuse to enter into an online chat. I don’t trust their security — but that goes without saying.

Let me just get this out of the way. I’ll be right up front with you. I hate Comcast. They don’t care about what I want. They don’t offer programming packages to suit my needs and I wish we had an alternative, other than nothing. Whew! I feel better getting that off my chest.

Back to their automated system, which is a major pet peeve of mine. Why don’t they say up front, “if you want to talk to a real live person, press #1 and skip this auto-nonsense.” But no, they can’t make my life simple. Did you know that most automated systems have a bypass? As for Comcast, if you press “0” at just the right time, it will get you to an operator, eventually.

Wouldn’t you know it would be just my luck — my automatted operator had a thick accent. OMG I have a hard enough time understanding real live humans on the phone with a thick accent. It takes a special kind of stupid for Comcast to use a foreign-based automated system. HELLO Comcast!!! I live in the U.S.A., I speak English. I’d like to speak with others who are able to communicate properly — in proper English of course.

Channel 29 (TNT) still isn’t getting a signal, even though my “friends” from across the ocean, assured me that they have reset my cable box and service would be properly restored within 20 minutes.

Guess What? I’ve had my cable box reset in the past and it wasn’t reset this time around. So, I get to go through the whole horrible experience all over again.

Darn I hate missing Law and Order. I guess I’m just going to have to cancel our Comcast Cable and buy the DVD’s. It’s probably cheaper anyway.

    I called Comcast today, trying to find out the hours of our local Comcast office. The representative told me I have to actually go there in order to find out. What kind of business are they running at Comcast?

    Of all the stupid, idiotic….

    I totally agree and that is the reason I’m with DISH today. They are more than happy to help with anything. I don’t have worry about those error messages that I use to get with Comcast. I actually work at DISH as well, I know that they care about their customers. I love DISH and I recommend it to everyone tired of their providers that do not satisfy their needs.
