Back in April, Schwan’s issued a recall on several of it’s products.
Customers of Schwan’s and Market Day foods now need to be aware of a widespread recall that is sickening people throughout the country.
Rich Products is recalling more frozen foods because they might be contaminated with E. Coli bacteria. Specific products being recalled may have been delivered to your door or, sold in your child’s school fundraisers.
The following items have been added to the recall list:
Schwan’s Live Smart Mini Meatball Sandwiches, Item #630
Schwan’s Live Smart Baked Mozzarella Bites, Item #632
Market Day Mozzarella Bites, Item #4010
So, I contacted them about the products we had purchased, they said they would send a refund or give us a credit. I’m still waiting.
We opted for the refund because due to their stance on genetically modified organisms, we’ve decided not to purchase any more Schwan’s. I don’t understand why it takes three months to get a $15 refund from this company. This is not the first time we’ve had trouble with them.
To tell you the truth, even if they get rid of all their GMO’s, I won’t be ordering from them anymore. If a company doesn’t stand behind the products they sell, they don’t want my business.
Instead of buying prepackaged foods, I’ve been busy in the kitchen and believe it or not: it’s fun. It really doesn’t take much longer to make foods from scratch than it does to open a box…and the food tastes so much better. Bonus – NO GMO’s! It’s a win/win situation.
Update: Here it is July 9th and still no refund. Are they hoping I’ll forget?
The answer is to grow and produce as much of your own food as is possible while its still legal to do so. Buy up as much non gmo seeds as you can now before monsatin destroys our seed supply.
