The average American eats more than 33 pounds of cheese a year. This is according to Neal Barnard, physician and president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. And that's a problem, he says.
I'd never before thought in terms of dairy products being addictive (with the personal exception of milk chocolate, I admit). Barnard explains that dairy protein - specifically a protein called casein - has opiate molecules built in. When babies nurse, he notes, they're getting dosed with a mild drug: "Milk contains opiates that reward the baby for nursing."
What non-organic food is safe to eat?
If you don't have access to fresh organic fruits and vegetables you might be wondering what your options are because non-organic produce can contain pesticides and herbicides like Glyphosate which can severely damage your intestinal tract.
Thankfully, there are certain types of non-organic produce that don't contain a large amounts of pesticides which are relatively safe to consume. In the US these are listed as the "Clean 15". This list is changing every year so make sure you get an up to date list whenever you're shopping.
The Top 15 Essential Oils for Allergies - Updated and Backed by Science
Discover the top 15 essential oils for allergies that are backed by science. This article has detailed usage instructions and easy recipes.
Many essential oils are very effective at relieving the symptoms of allergies. Essential oils contain compounds that act like natural antihistamines to relieve inflammation. This helps to soothe muscles and nerves in your respiratory system making it easier to breathe. The antimicrobial properties of many essential oils also help to remove the source of the allergen by killing off allergy-causing pathogens.
Bauxite Mining has Tainted Pahang Fish
If you needed any more proof of the (literally) poisonous effects of bauxite mining in Kuantan, here it comes: studies done by the Malaysian Fisheries Department have shown that local fish has been contaminated with heavy metals.
The department's team took samples from 64 specimens belonging to 25 fish species from several rivers, including Sungai Balok, Sg Penggorak, Sg Riau, Sg Mabuk, Sg Padan, Empangan Kobalt, Kuala Penur and Tanjong Lumpur. They then tested the fish for a variety of metals in their systems, including aluminum, iron, magnesium, zinc, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, copper, arsenic and selenium. The levels of contamination the analysis detected were relatively low, according to the department, but it was still at concentrations that was pushing the maximum acceptable levels as specified by the country's Food Act.

The oils listed below are some of the most useful oils in dealing with mold. Always remember that to successfully prevent mold from returning, any leaks or humidity issues must be resolved.
Biblical Reasons Not to Vaccinate
There doesn't appear to be a direct command or directive that says, "Do not vaccinate yourself or your children". However, I believe that there are scriptures and principles from which you can derive that unspoken directive.
We must be very careful with pharmaceutical drugs. Pharmacy comes from the Greek word pharmakeia means witchcraft, sorcery. These are the main meanings: a) the use or administering of drugs b) poisoning c) sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it. Some medications are plant based, others synthetic chemicals.
Understanding Different Types of Magnesium
Magnesium is one of those supplements that is very well known for its benefits throughout the natural health community. Magnesium is involved in over 300 biochemical processes in the body.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that magnesium supplementation and correction of deficiency has improved the aforementioned conditions. The problem with this essential mineral is that most people do not have sufficient levels for optimal health. A gradual depletion of nutrients from our soils has left many vegetables with lower levels of magnesium. Another factor that contributes to magnesium deficiency is that it often is depleted by various common conditions (i.e. IBS, Crohn's disease) and medications (i.e. proton pump inhibitors, diuretics).
Before you can hope to make it as a speculator and start slingin' barrels for big money, you've got to understand exactly what's gushing forth from the earth's crust.
Today's post is actually about edible oils. Well, they're all technically edible - they can all be swallowed and digested - but as for being palatable, let alone healthful? That remains to be seen. Not all oils are created equal, especially given the fact that most of the ones people use nowadays are actually created in an industrial laboratory. No oil "exists naturally," mind you. Olive oil isn't harvested by leaving open containers under leaking, dripping olives on the branch, nor is that liquid sloshing around inside a coconut pure oil. I'm not trying to disparage processing in and of itself.
Skittle-Fed Beef? Wisconsin Farmers Caught Secretly Feeding Candy to Beef Cattle
A bizarre spill of Skittles highway on a rural Wisconsin highway has placed the candy's manufacturer in the uncomfortable position of explaining why its products are finding their way into cattle feed.
The unexpected mishap ended up uncovering that farmers have been feeding candy to their cows for years as a way to cut corners and save money, at the cost to the quality of the beef as well as both cow and human health. Police, in talking to the cattle ranchers, soon learned that Skittles and other sweets are being commonly used in the area in order to "fatten up" cows as they serve as an inexpensive source of carbohydrates. A former farmer in the area told a local CNN affiliate that candy makers and bakeries often sell their rejected or defective candy products to be used as cattle feed, meaning that the problem is larger than just unscrupulous ranchers.
I'm a Telemarketer. Here's How to Get Rid of Me
I've worked for a telemarketing company for two years and made a lot of unwanted calls. I have to keep making them because most people don't know how to get rid of us, but the right approach can make all the difference.
If the caller does speak to you, they will do their best to sell to you on the first call. A good telemarketer uses the "Three Nos" rule: don't let the customer go until they have said "no" three times during the phone call. This technique has actually worked for me several times. After the first two no, the client often runs out of reasons and becomes more persuadable. Telemarketers try to keep you on the phone as long as possible because they can eventually wear you down and get money out of you.
