We recently had a problem with US customs, believe it or not. No, we didn’t travel overseas or go to Mexico or Canada on vacation. We ordered contacts. It was the craziest thing.

Has the food craze hit your family? Our family has been spending more time in the kitchen than ever before. From baking homemade breads and pizzas to dehydrating chicken for the dog to eat, we are really enjoying the time spent and since we are careful what we buy and prepare many of the foods from scratch, we’re eating healthier. Something I can feel good about.

So, you know me. I let my fingers do the clicking and came up with Chicken Jerky for Dogs, believe it or not, it’s really easy. A couple words about the recipe: Take your chicken from the freezer and thaw it for just about an hour. Chicken should still be frozen, but it will have rested enough to allow you to create nice, thin slices.

I have been on a quest for chocolate and not just any chocolate — but chocolate with sea salt. First I have to tell you about the very best caramel I’ve ever tasted. They are called “Bequet Gourmet Celtic Sea Salt Caramels” and let me tell you, they are incredible. The caramels have this salty after-taste […]

We bought two Dr. Heater USA units. We thought it was a good deal since they were half the price of Eden Pure. About 6-months after we purchased the units, one of them started acting up. It just wouldn’t stay on and every once in while it would get really loud.

As I mentioned in my last post, I had purchased a pair of glasses from Lenscrafters at 50% off. Not too shabby and I was feeling pretty proud of myself when I came home and let my fingers do the walking – online. At Coastal Contacts I hit a home run – I bought glasses […]

I called Costco there prices were a little more to my liking, $49. for glasses and $89. for contacts. The doctor was very professional and through.

Amazon Prime is worth the money. I love Amazon Prime and I’ll tell why. We run an at home business and we live in a small out-of-the-way mountain town, so we often have no choice but to order items online. With Amazon Prime there are times our package has arrived the very next day. It […]

Have you noticed what passes for programming these days? This is getting ridiculous the have the audacity to charge for Cable Television, then that want to sell us something. We’ve got Intervention: Do you have a family member who is hooked on drugs? Call and get help. They supply not only the therapist but the drug […]

Our Tribeca is nearly a year old and I wanted to give you an update. First, I have to say overall I love it but there are a few little things I wish I had known before I purchased it. Okay, so the third row seating is tight; to be fair, we never use it anyway. If […]

I’ve been watching the commercials and they make this look so good, I just had to try it.  Of course I want the Dyson DC41 Animal but the one I want costs $599.00 and that’s a lot for a vacuum. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away sells for $179.99 – a little more than I wanted to pay – but I […]

SOS Online Backup? You’ll be screaming “SOS”, all right. 15 months ago today I signed up for the SOS Online Backup “reseller” service. The price was fair

Charging you extra to pay your bills? First congress effectively causes banks to charge you a fee to have an account…

I know by now you are probably thinking, “just get over it.” The problem is the more I write, the more I recall. I was digging around in my purse when I found an unclaimed Cashout Voucher from the Luxor Casino. It was then that I realized I had lied or rather misrepresented the facts just a tad and I want to set the record straight.
